EXPERIENCE

QualPak, LLC

11/04 – present

Laurinburg, NC

Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

·        Designed, updated and maintained hardware and software of Wet Side Processing HMI and PLC Control Systems utilizing RSLogix5000 and RSLogix 500 software, and RSView HMI programming software in an FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging facility that manufactures and packages alcohol based hand sanitizers. Currently implementing RSBatch into existing control system to reduce the programming and validation requirements to batch new formulae.

·        Management and completion of small and medium scale capital projects including scope definition, timeline creation and adherence, contractor management, documentation generation, design, installation, training, and qualification support.

·        Provided high level technical support for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair activities for the packaging, mix and facility areas of a FDA regulated pharmaceutical packaging facility.

·        Created and updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WIS). Created and executed Management of Change (MOC) documents. Created and Executed Installation (IQ), Operation (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) tests.

·        Created and implemented a full calibration program that ensured compliance with all FDA regulations.

·        Established and maintained  preventive maintenance and CMMS processes for facilities, production, mix and the process water areas.

·        Managed regulatory compliance requirements regarding FDA, OSHA, FCC, and local and state agencies.
